Postings are allowed, but no haters here. We’re not looking for debate or persuasion, which typically produce point-counterpoint comments that can get emotionally out-of-hand. There are plenty of other places on the web where one can argue and persuade.

This is a place for encouragement, advice, and affirmation; a place where one can build someone up and be built up.

We can also take the opportunity to sharpen one another with constructive criticism, but only when it is invited. I’m particularly interested in critiques of my essays and in finding more powerful and effective ways to use language.
